The Drag Progressive by Fortran Wheels, better known as the DRAG PRO, are JDM Wheels that are best known to be the brother to the Mugen MR-5. The The Drag Progressive is light weight 5 spoke wheel which feature one piece construction. The most noteable feature of the Drag Pros are the locking center cap and individual caps for each lug nut which gives them a very smooth look. Although most popular fitment is 4×100 popular for Honda Civic or Mazda Miata, pictured is a rare 5 lug fitment on a Z32 Nissan 300ZX Fairlady.
The MUGEN CR-X PRO Honda CR-X is a great looking interpretation from the guys at MUGEN POWER. The MUGEN CR-X PRO had a full body kit including flared fenders which have the tiny CR-X a muscular look. The wheels predate Mugen branded wheels, but I believe are FORTRAN ASSO JDM Wheels which make sense since Mugen used FORTRAN on the Mugen MR-5.
The Drag 902 Wheels are JDM Wheels produced by Japanese wheel company Leonard Inc. The Drag 902 have a 5 spoke design which resmble the Ronal R9 and also the Enkei 83. The Drag 902 Wheels were available in 4 and 5 lug configurations and in 13″, 14″ and 15″ diameters.
Fortran Revolt are JDM Wheels that were produced back in the 1980’s, they feature a mesh face with a flat reverse style lip. The Fortran Revolt were available in 14″ and 15″ diameters, and and 5 hole or 4 hole configurations.
The Fortran Drag Viewer are JDM Wheels which feature lightweight one piece construction. The Fortran Drag Viewer have a simple five spoke design with really thin spokes. Pictured are the Fortran Drag Viewer on a ST205 Toyota Celica.
The Drag 905 and Drag 902 are JDM Wheels produced by Leonard Inc.. Both Drag wheels feature a multiple step 5 spoke face similar to the european Ronal R9, both of which look to be AMG Penta “inspired”; a style also used by Enkei 83 and American Racing. The Drag 905 features a more traditional smaller face with the muscular looking stepped lips. The Ronal 902 has a more modern Organic Face design with longer spokes that reach farther out to the edges of the wheels, more popular with FR designed wheels.
The Mugen MR-5 are JDM Wheels made exclusively Honda Automobiles, it says it on the wheel itself! They are also probably the most popular wheel Mugen has produced. The Mugen MR-5 features a 5 spoke face with a 2 piece design and exposed bolts. Sizing was available in smaller 14″, most popular 15″ and the most coveted 16″ diameter. A cool detail was that not only did each wheel have a center caps, but each lug nut had its own cover as well. The Mugen MR-5 are manufactured by Fortran Wheels.
