When I think of the Mitsubishi Starion, I think of nicely bulging factory flared fenders and massive dished 16×9 jdm wheels. Here we have an early model Mitsubishi Starion with the skinny body. The builder of this Old School 1977 Toyota Celica has also made the s30 240z featured here: Mr.Vengeance – S30 71 Datsun 240Z on SSR MK III. The SSR MK III wheels are the same ones of the Z. This Celica is just as nice or even nicer than the Z noticeably featuring beefy looking fender flares and a low hanging front spoiler.
A friend and I were having a conversation on the Toyota Corolla AE86′s and started looking for the best examples. The first 86 to come to mind was this one I saw on Club4AG. The owner did a full build on it, and surprisingly it is actually an SR5 model. The owner also has had myriad of wheels for it; SSR MKII, SSR MKIII, 2 sets of Volk Racing TE37, and Weds Sport MA86. I personally think the MKII’s give it that best old school look.
